What this is — and what it isn't
Most trading accounts don't die from bad predictions. They die from bad sizing — risking too much, moving stops, revenge-trading, and never looking back at the wreckage. The one part of trading you fully control is your risk and your process, and that is the only part this product touches.
The Trader's Edge is a journaling and discipline system. It teaches the survival math (position sizing, reward:risk, drawdown recovery), makes you write your rules down, and then gives you the log and review pages that turn random trading into a measurable process. It works for stocks, forex and crypto alike — the log fields fit any instrument.
What it is not: it contains no signals, no predictions, no strategy that "guarantees" anything, and it will not promise to make you profitable — nobody honest can. It is an educational self-tracking tool. Whether your trading improves depends on what you do with it.
What's inside the kit
Three files, one system. Built to be used daily, not read once.
1
Risk & Strategy Journal
64-page fillable PDF · A4
A workbook in six parts — print it, or fill it on a tablet.
- The risk crash-course — the four survival rules: fixed-% risk per trade, the position-size formula with worked stock and forex examples, reward:risk and the break-even win-rate table, and the drawdown recovery math most traders never look at.
- Your trading plan — a fillable contract with yourself: markets, setups, risk rules, exits, routine. Sign it, date it, revisit it monthly.
- 30 trade-log cards — one per trade: entry, stop, target, size, risk, planned R:R, result in R, a "followed plan?" check, a mistake tag and an emotion note. The soft fields are where the expensive patterns hide.
- 12 weekly reviews — the numbers plus the honesty section: best trade, worst decision, the one rule you tighten next week.
- 12 monthly reviews + equity tracker — best and worst setup, recurring mistakes, and a running balance grid.
- Rule-break tally — a tally sheet for the seven classic account-killers (no stop, oversized, revenge…). At month-end, the biggest column is your #1 fix.

Auto-Calculating Trading Journal
.XLSX · Google Sheets or Excel
The same system as a spreadsheet that does the math for you — 1,215 formulas already wired in. Works in free Google Sheets; no Excel required.
- 200-row trade log — you fill the shaded columns (date, instrument, prices, size, exit); the grey ones calculate risk per unit, planned R:R, risk $, P/L, result in R and your running equity automatically.
- Live dashboard — win rate, total R, expectancy, average and largest win/loss, profit factor, total P/L, and an equity-curve chart that updates as you log.
- Settings & plan tab — account size and risk % drive every calculation, plus a quick position sizer and your written plan.
- Dropdowns, not typing — direction, followed-plan and mistake-tag fields are pick-lists, so your stats stay clean.
- 14 example trades included — so you see it working before you delete them and log your own.

Honest questions, honest answers
Will this make me a profitable trader?
No product can promise that, and this one doesn't. Trading is high-risk and most retail traders lose money. What this kit does is teach you the risk math and give you a structure for planning, logging and reviewing — the process side of trading, which is the only side you control. What comes of it depends on you and the market.
Do I need Excel?
No. The spreadsheet is a standard .xlsx that opens in free Google Sheets (upload it to Drive and open it) as well as Excel. Formulas, dropdowns, dashboard and the equity chart work in both.
Which markets does it work for?
Any instrument you can give an entry, a stop and a size: stocks, forex, crypto, indices. The worked examples cover stocks and forex; the log fields are instrument-agnostic.
Is this financial advice? Are there signals or strategies to copy?
No and no. It's an educational journaling tool for self-tracking, backtesting and demo practice. It tells you nothing about what to buy or sell — it helps you document and review whatever you decide to do, and it's for adults (18+).
Is the cheat sheet really free? What's the catch?
Really free — the download link above goes straight to the PDF, no email asked. It's the appendix of the paid journal; if it's useful, you'll know whether the full kit is for you.
Print or digital?
Both. The journal is A4 and prints cleanly, or fill it on a tablet PDF app. The spreadsheet is digital-only by nature. The cheat sheet is designed to be printed and pinned up.
Something's wrong with my files?
If a download won't open or looks broken, contact me and I'll sort it out — it's a one-person shop, you're talking to the person who built it.

The RiskFirst toolkit — position size, risk/reward and compound & drawdown calculators —
is free forever, no signup. The journal turns those numbers into a daily habit; the tools do
the arithmetic. They're built to pair.
